About Dental Bridges
A bridge fills in the space between the teeth with a porcelain tooth that is connected to a crown, which is created to form over the attaching tooth. The false tooth connects to the crown with a pontic. Our dentists offer three main options for bridges at DentalWorks - Wake Forest in Wake Forest, NC including, a cantilever bridge that covers the attached crown; a Maryland bridge, referred to as a resin-bonded bridge that attaches the fake tooth with wings; or a crown that incorporates framework bonded to the nearby natural teeth.
"I have been seen at this office since they first opened. My dental hygentist is awesome in cleaning my teeth 3 to 4 times a year and the dentist who has been seeing me since almost the beginning has been awesome in making sure I keep all my teeth and my mouth is healthy. If I have problems, they are always taken care within the timeframe they need to be. But I also clean my teeth when I am not at the dentist so it is a group effort. It has been a great experience all the way around and I would recommend them to anyone."- D. / Google / Jun 20, 2019
"The most smooth and professional visit. If you need a dental surgeon, Dr. French and Asst-Rudy are the guys you need to look for."- J.R. / Google / Jun 05, 2019

Sarah is as sweet as the sugar she so lovingly cleans your teeth. Mj, what a pro. From start to finish. Great scene of humor. Whilemaking sure everything fit right on my 1st partials and while making sure i was ok. She even new when i was not so ok. No works needed. "I like all of the folks at the Wake Forest Office of DentalWorks! However, my favorite is M. J. She has been so helpful, professional and aiming to please me with the fit of my teeth. I so appreciate her diligence. She has done her very best and called in the Doctor and the Lab Tech when needed. She is an A-1 professional and knows what she's doing and does it very well. I'm thankful that we crossed paths. She's a very personal person as well!"- G.M. / Yelp / May 23, 2019

What to Expect
In preparation for the bridge, our dentists will drill down the support tooth to create enough space for the crown. After the teeth are prepped for the crown, X-ray imaging will be taken so that a thorough visual can be achieved and these, as well as the physical impressions will then be distributed to the dental lab where the final bridge is manufactured. Our dentists will cover the patient's teeth with temporary abutments for protection until the permanent bridge is ready. Once the bridge is created, our dentists will cement the bridge and adjust the fit for a normal appearance and comfort.
Dental bridges can stay durable for up to 15 years as long as consistent dental examinations at DentalWorks - Wake Forest in Wake Forest, NC take place each year. It is also important that in addition to yearly check-ups, patients adhere incorporate a consistent at-home dental health regime. Per the dentist's instructions, flossing, brushing, and fluoride, which will allow the bridge to last for many years to come.
Coverage through insurance generally handles a nice portion of the total expense for professional dental bridges. The exact coverage will depend on the benefits policy, but our billing office at DentalWorks - Wake Forest will coordinate with your provider to gain insight as to what the patient may owe. Our dental practice accepts many insurance plans. Individuals who do not have insurance coverage may take part in one of our billing plans.
